Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development Department is a subsidiary department of Government of Sindh. Its attached bodies are i.e Sindh Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and Sindh Coastal Development Authority (SCDA). The Directorate of Climate Change (DoCC) and Sindh Environment Protetion Tribunal (SEPT).

The Directorate of Climate Change (DoCC) established under the Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development Department (ECC&CDD) Government of Sindh. The Climate Change Directorate worked out the first ever “Sindh Climate Change Policy-2022”. The Sindh Cabinet approved the Policy on 07th July 2022. 

ECC&CDD has a very crucial role in the development of coastal areas of Sindh and combating the environmental pollution. Due to rapid changes in our climate, this role of department has been exponentially increased. The ECC&CDD is engaged with field work as well as their execution and monitoring of different development activities. Since the incumbent government has taken several initiatives to address the issues of pollution, Climate Change and Coastal Development, it is high time to work diligently towards a cleaner, greener and sustainable environment.
